Abstract:
[Case report] A 13-year-old girl sought treatment for a semi-impacted mandibular second molar. The treatment choice selected was the use of a single microimplant placed in the retromolar area for distal force application followed by segmental mechanics to achieve final root angulation. After 9 months of treatment, correct second molar alignment and angulation was achieved without the need of full-arch fixed appliances.
